Coming this Saturday, Sep 14th - 10th Annual Rotors Over Mentone!

This year's "Rotors Over Mentone" Fly-In event will reunite retired members involved with the 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion (U.S. Army)
that had piloted the Museum's Bell Huey 801 during Vietnam. Returning guests will be Huey Pilot Neil Stickney and his wife Collette, and
veteran Tom Wallin. Members Mac Huddleston and Lee Huber, originally scheduled to be part of the program, will not be able to attend.

A Question and Answer Forum is scheduled during the program led by Heidi Orr, Museum Board Member, giving
the opportunity for Neil and Tom to talk about their experiences.

Helicopter rides will be offered by American Huey 369 (with membership) and by Cleveland Helicopter Services.

Helicopters from Parkview Samaritan Hospital and the Indiana State Police are expected to fly in for the event.
Also in attendance will be local, county, and state police, fire, and EMS services for children to "Touch A Truck".
Radio Station WIOE, Oldies 101.1 FM plans to be at the museum and will be broadcasting Live.
American Red Cross will be on site for blood donations stating a 10 am.

This event will be held on Saturday, Sep 14th at the Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum, 210 S. Oak St, Mentone IN.
Admission and parking are free.

For helicopter pilots that fly in for the event, call sign: "Bell Operations". Monitor Frequency is 123.025.
A shuttle from the Mentone Airport to the Bell Aircraft Museum will be made available for fixed wing pilots
courtesy of the Museum. Please contact us a day ahead of time of your time arrival so arrangements can be made.

Pilots flying in for the event will be given a "goody bag" and a voucher for food items available at our tent.
