Lincoln Remembered - Springfield IL Tour on Aug 4-6

Highlights of the Springfield, IL tour will include: (1) John-Paul Pipe Organ Builders - builders and restorers of pipe organs; (2) Lincoln’s New Salem State Park - the pioneer village where Lincoln lived as a young adult; (3) the Old State Capitol where Lincoln served in the Illinois statehouse from 1839 to 1876; (4) the Civil War Flag Retreat Ceremony at Lincoln's tomb, performed by the 114th Infantry Volunteer Regiment; (5) the Home of Abraham Lincoln which is restored to its1860's appearance; (6) Lincoln's Tomb which marks the final resting place of Abraham, Mary Todd, and family members; (7) the current Illinois State Capitol; and (8) the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum which presents the life of Abraham Lincoln through a series of stories illustrated with personal memorabilia, documentary material of the Lincoln family, and engaging interactive activities. Also during the trip, there will be a stop at Chanute Aerospace Museum, the largest aviation museum in Illinois, with a collection of over 40 aircraft including military fighters, bombers, rescue, recon, and cargo aircraft.

Tour includes six meals (three Breakfasts, one Lunch, and two Dinners), two nights (Quality Lodging), and luggage handling (1 pc) with travel via Motorcoach.
