This past May, third grade students from Mentone Elementary School paid a visit to the Bell Aircraft Museum. On hand from the Museum were Linda Cochran, Sue Pyle, and Marsha Scott. The third grade classes were the sponsors of the shoe drive “Shoes for Huey”. Beginning with the settlement of Mentone in 1882, Sue and Linda presented the story of Mentone and Larry Bell who was a student in the Mentone Schools. The presentation closed with a lesson about the Museum and a viewing of the Larry Bell video. The visit concluded with a touring the museum exhibits.
